Exclusive Interview: Fifth Harmony
Fifth Harmony has a busy week in the near future. Not only is their debut album 'Better Together' dropping on Tuesday, but you can also catch them on the Hub Network’s 1st annual Halloween Bash this weekend. It’s all the Fifth Harmony you could ever want.
We got to talk with the girls, and they gave us the details on their upcoming album as well as what to expect this weekend on Hub Network’s Halloween Bash - check it out!
Fanlala: What can we expect from Fifth Harmony this weekend at the Halloween Bash?
Fifth Harmony: Well it’s Halloween! So we’ll definitely be in costume, we’ll definitely be performing, but what we’ll be dressed as is a surprise, so you’ll have to tune in!
F: Can you tell us about some of the past costumes that you’ve dressed up in that you’ve really liked?
Normani: One of my favorite costumes I ever did was Catwoman! Camila: I remember one that I really liked was a ladybug, I had the dots and everything.
Lauren: I was Tinkerbell once, it was when I was three years old, but it was still definitely one of my faves!
Dinah: I had a phase when I was like 4, 5, and 6 when I was obsessed with Disney Princesses, so I was a different Disney Princess for several years in a row.
Ally: I never got to dress up before, but now I’ll be in full costume, so this year is going to be really exciting for me!
F: We love “Miss Movin’ On.” Will the songs on 'Better Together' sound similar to it, or does the album have a different feel throughout?
5H: It’s definitely going to sound different. All of the songs have a common thread - they’re all a genre of pop, we’ve got a ballad in there. There’s an 80’s song in there, they all sound really different, but there is a connection there.
F: We’ve heard “Miss Movin’ On” on the radio during the past few weeks, what was it like hearing your song be played on the air for the first time?
5H: We didn’t hear it for months, but when we did hear it, we were all together, and it was just really cool to be with each other when we did finally hear the song on the radio.
F: What is the message that you wanted the album to convey to your fans?
5H: We just want to let people know that we’re regular girls who like to have fun and hang out together. Oh, and boy problems, we do talk about that on the album!
Before we said goodbye to Fifth Harmony, they wanted to say to their fans:
“We love you all, thank you so much, thank you so much for going to our shows, and we’ll see you at Demi Lovato’s Neon Lights Tour! And make sure you check out the EP!”
We can’t wait to have ‘Better Together’ all to ourselves next week! Don’t forget you can stream ‘Better Together’ right now, and it’ll be available on Fanlala Radio as well when it drops on October 22 - yes!
